Northern Sky Obedience Academy Inc. is a successful dog training business offering dog owners the opportunity to achieve reliable results. We have one of the "few" certified dog trainers in Northern Michigan. We've been working with dogs for over thirty years and have the ability to train in a variety of areas, which is why we have one of the largest selection of dog training programs in the area. Owner Gaye Amick CPT has active memberships and affiliations with some of the world's top professional dog trainer organizations, which include: The Humane Dog Trainers Guild, The International Association of Canine Professionals and The National K-9 Dog Trainers Association.
Northern Sky Obedience Academy will help dog owners understand how their dogs think and learn which in turn allows owners the ability to communicate with their dogs effectively.
Our training techniques have evolved and will continue to evolve without the use of fear or intimidation. We're versatile and balanced in our training approach and always abide by two most important rules in professional dog training:
Rule #1). Do No Harm (physically or mentally)

Rule #2). Never Break Break Rule # 1
Our clients have traveled from Gaylord, Petoskey, Cheboygan, Roscommon, Traverse City, Grayling, Indian River, Harbor Springs, Soo Sault Marie, St Ignace and throughout Michigan to have their dogs trained by us. We've also worked with dog owners from North Carolina, Washington DC and New Jersey.
